FINGERSTYLE GUITAR SUMMIT with PAUL PIGAT & RICK TAYLOR

"One of the first guitar soloists I tried to copy was Rick Taylor. His playing on the Willie P. Bennett album, "Hobo's Taunt" was and is an inspiration to me. And he still plays great- with the extra years of experience and gravitas only making him better. And that's just the playing part... He's still writing and singing and performing like a demon too!"
Colin Linden Nashville, Tennessee Oct. 9th, 2009

"Blessed with a jazz man's sheen, a rockabilly heart and a hobo's soul, there aren't many genres of music that don't pull at Pigat's wayfaring imagination like a magnet. In many ways, it's a mystery why Paul Pigat isn't a household name yet. Maybe he'd be a lot easier to pin down if he wasn't so darn good at so many different things."

SCOTT HOLT

Presented by KARMA, LMC, Turner Drugs & Big Rock Brewery & Jack Richardson London Music Awards.

Singer/Guitarist/Entertainer/Songwriter Scott Holt has been carrying the Blues torch for his entire career. Born and raised primarily in Tennessee, he and his family also made homes in Texas and Mississippi. The lanky, tattooed Tennessean was "touring before I knew it was called touring! My family moved a lot when I was little so I've lived all over the place." After beginning his musical journey at 19 years old, Holt jumped on the fast-track by joining his friend and mentor Buddy Guy in 1989.

In addition to his tenure with Buddy Guy, which included recording the GRAMMY winning record Slippin' In, 2 appearances on Austin City Limits, an appearance in the major motion picture THINGS TO DO IN DENVER, Holt's 7 solo records have established him not only as a six-string virtuoso but also as a penetrating and soulful storyteller.
